Windows of opportunity: Bonang joins line-up of women at Bill’s gates

Radio and TV presenter Bonang Matheba tweeted that she has officially joined the internet trend of women sending Bill Gates direct messages following the announcement that Microsoft billionaire and his wife Melinda Gates are filing for a divorce.

MICROSOFT UPDATE: BILL AND MELINDA GATES

Gates tweeted on Monday 3 May that he and his wife will be parting ways after 27 years of marriage.

“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” tweeted Bill Gates.

“We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives,” he added.

DM trend

Bill and Melinda asked for space and privacy during this time. However, following the news of the divorce, many women from across the globe decided to “take a shot” at introducing themselves to the billionaire.

Bonang, who is already winning at life and recently launched her own luxury beverage range called House of BNG, has now joined this trend to get into the billionaire’s direct messages.

Bonang slips Bill Gates a message

A Tweep asked Bonang whether she is also trying to get the attention of Bill Gates following his divorce announcement and she responded by saying that she had messaged both Bill Gates and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

“I’ve DMed him…Jeff too! Send me prayers ❤,” she wrote.

TWITTER REACTS TO ‘BONANG AND BILL’

Tweeps were into the idea of Bonang dating a billionaire and fully supported her aspirations.

Two months ago, a fan said he would do anything for her and the businesswoman — who can definitely afford anything she wants — responded:

“Please send me money, need to do my hair.”

The fan surprisingly responded asking for banking details.
