Halloween has influenced many of our Kwaito and Hip-Hip Legends, including many of today’s rising stars.

Some notable Halloween facts:
• At the 5th SAMA Awards in 1999, Halloween took home an unprecedented 4 awards for Best Kwaito Album, Best Duo/Group, Best Single and Best Kwaito Single
• Halloween includes the smash-hit singles “Dlala Mapansula”, “Mambotjie” & “We Love This Place”.

About TKZee: TKZee was formed in 1995 by three school friends, Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala, Kabelo ‘Bouga Luv’ Mabalane, and Zwai Bala. The group shot to prominence in late 1997 and early 1998 with their hit singles Palafala and Shibobo. Shibobo was released in June 1998 in the run-up to the 1998 FIFA World Cup, in collaboration with Bafana Bafana and then-Ajax striker Benni McCarthy. The song, which featured McCarthy rapping on some of the lyrics, was an instant success. Sales topped the 100 000 mark in just over a month, a feat which made Shibobo the fastest and biggest selling CD single by a South African recording artist. They quickly became household names not just in South Africa and the continent but across world. TKZee were the first kwaito act to perform overseas in countries such as Jamaica, London, Denmark & the USA. They performed Shibobo at the opening ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup at Soccer City in Johannesburg. TKZee have sold 750,000 CDs, cassettes and vinyls to date.
