‘Skeem Saam’ gains momentum while ‘The River’ and ‘The Queen’ sink
Multi-award-winning telenovela The River is losing viewers fast!
The popular show which cleans up comes award season, jumped from 911 000 viewers in May to 777 000 viewers in June.
Fans of #TheRiver1Magic have complained about the lack of character development and repeated storylines season after season.
The Queen is on the same boat as The River as it went from 1.31 million viewers in May to 1.02 million viewers in June.
‘UYAJOLA’ VS ‘GOMORA’
Uyajola 9/9 is now the second most-watched show on DSTV and has upstaged The Queen while Gomora remains the most-watched show.
The Moja Love cheating show is now neck and neck with Gomora with 1.23 million views, whilst Gomora sits on 1.26 million views according to the Broadcast Research Council of SA.
Gomora got saved by Langa’s (Siya Xaba’s) death storyline which aired towards the end of June.

‘SKEEM SAAM’ KEEPS WINNING
SABC 1’s educational soapie Skeem Saam gained over 300 thousand views between May and June.
Skeem Saam is currently sitting on 5.84 million views.
The show has been trending daily since the Kwaito (Clement Maosa) and John (Africa Tsoai) DNA debacle and Meikie’s (Harriet Manamela) shooting saga.
